Hull Flourish Project Learning Disability

Hull’s Flourish Project offers temporary supported accommodation to people who have Learning Disability and Learning Difficulties who need extra support. This is a two year project  Our Communal property comprises of 3 flats and are decorated to a high standard and come with basic furnishings. This communal property is owned by Target Housing Ltd and has an office on site.

Flourish support workers encourage all clients to make positive decisions to improve their lives. Many clients working with us have found it difficult to get housing due to their learning Disability/ Difficulties and need the extra support package Target support workers offer. Flourish support workers are on site 5 days a week Monday to Friday and have extra hours funded through ISF to help support service users in all aspects of their daily lives. Tasks undertaken are, managing their finances, meal plans, shopping lists, shopping, help with attending appointments, Property checks and management, prompting hygiene, assistance with engaging in the community, assistance with using public transport, support with other professionals, budgeting plans are made and reviewed weekly. Support with any correspondence. We offer support and advise with physical and mental health with support to move into independent accommodation when we feel our clients are ready or coming towards the end of their tenancy. We also signpost on to other agencies where more specialist support is required.

All support is client led and we work in a psychologically informed way.

All Potential tenants need to have a support package in place of 10 hours plus and be in receipt of benefits
