Elliot Court
Target Housing / Elliott Court is a thirty-bed unit, which provides tenancy support, for single homeless individuals, the flats are self-contained, fully furnished, with a separate kitchen and bathroom.
There are four flats on the ground floor, which are suitable and allocated, to any individuals who have physical disabilities.
Target Housing provide housing -related support, from three to six months, depending on the tenants needs, to help and prepare, to live independently, and maintain their tenancy.
The tenants are allocated a key worker, who provide support for up to three hours weekly, a person-centred Support Plan is developed, and reviewed every twelve weeks, in addition to a Risk Assessment.
The support includes:
- Assistance with budgeting, and accessing services, for financial advice including Debt Relief Orders.
- Support learning life skills, cooking cleaning, contacting, the utility providers and arrange direct debits, for gas, electric and water.
- Support dealing with letters from Housing Benefit / Council Tax and completing forms for additional welfare benefits.
- Support to improve employability skills, and Job Club.
- Advice and support in dealing with anti-social behaviour, and adhering to the tenancy agreement.
- Activities that promote wellbeing, support refer to Mental Health Services, Drug & Alcohol Services,(Roads provide a weekly drop-in service at Elliott Court)
- Support to complete MOP applications to RMBC, attend the monthly “Move On Clinic”, discuss housing options, and liaise with the homeless team at Rotherham Borough Council.
- Ready Renting Course, further advice, and information, how to manage a tenancy.
