Target has officially achieved a White Ribbon accreditation. White Ribbon is a campaign aiming to end male violence against women and girls by promoting a message of respect and tolerance, and leading by example. The White Ribbon Campaign believes organisations are in a better position to spread this message and make a genuine difference and holding a White Ribbon status means we share in this message.
The Award is a recognition of the work which Target has already undertaken in involving men in speaking out and challenging male violence against women and girls. It is also a reminder of the work that still needs to be done.
We have committed to a two year wide ranging action plan on tackling male violence against women, incorporating much that Target has already done as well as supporting new initiatives.
