Over the Christmas period, Target Housing’s Hull LD Project brought some festive cheer to tenants by delivering traditional Christmas dinners as part of a special Meals on Wheels activity.
The initiative supported twenty tenants with learning disabilities, ensuring they could enjoy a warm, festive meal during what can be a challenging time of year for many people. Members of the Hull LD team personally delivered each Christmas dinner, taking time to check in with tenants, share a smile and spread some holiday spirit.
For many tenants, the activity was about more than just food. It provided comfort, connection, and reassurance that they were being thought of and supported during the festive season. The deliveries also gave staff the opportunity to spend meaningful time with tenants, helping to make Christmas feel a little brighter and more inclusive.
The Hull LD Meals on Wheels activity reflects Target Housing’s ongoing commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities to feel valued, connected and cared for — not just at Christmas, but all year round.
