Community Connections: Enjoying Weekly Pool Afternoons.

At our Hull LD service, building independence is important — but so is building confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging. One of the highlights of the week for many of our tenants is a regular trip to the pool hall, where they spend time together enjoying a game of pool, socialising and being part of the local community.

These outings are more than just a fun activity. For our tenants, they offer a chance to develop social skills, try new experiences and strengthen relationships in a relaxed and friendly environment. The pictures captured from recent visits show just how much everyone enjoys the sessions — from the friendly competition around the table to the laughter shared between games.

Our support workers look forward to the weekly pool night just as much as the tenants do. It’s a chance to connect, encourage confidence and support people in doing something they genuinely love. These small moments of joy play a big role in helping people live fulfilling, meaningful lives.
