Jayden Askham – Supported from Day One

Jayden Askham is a Housing Support Worker who joined Target Housing four months ago — and in that short time, he already feels at home.

From the moment he started, Jayden felt welcomed and supported by everyone across the organisation, from Senior Management to frontline staff. He describes the team as inclusive, approachable and always there when support is needed — so much so that he says it feels like he’s been part of the organisation for years.

Jayden is passionate about developing his skills as he grows in his role. He is keen to build on his person-centred approach, deepen his compassion for the clients Target Housing supports, and continue learning how to work effectively with people experiencing multiple disadvantages. He is also focused on improving his multi-agency collaboration, recognising the importance of joined-up working in delivering the best outcomes for clients.

Jayden’s early experience reflects the supportive culture at Target Housing — one where new team members are encouraged, developed and given the confidence to grow into their role.
