CQC Registration Announcement!

June 28, 2024

We are thrilled to announce that we are officially an approved care provider following successful registration with the Care Quality Commission!

Following our application for registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) last year Target has successfully passed the assessment process and is now a registered provider. We are excited to be able to deliver personal care as a domiciliary care provider!

What/ who are the CQC

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They make sure that health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage the improvement of care services. Their role is to register care providers, monitor, inspect and rate services, take action to protect people who use services and speak with an independent voice, publishing views on major quality issues in health and social care. You can find out more about the CQC by visiting their website here.

What does this mean for Target?

This new CQC registered provider status allows Targets to deliver personal care to those we support as an approved domiciliary care provider.

This enables those in receipt of our care service, stakeholders and other organisations to be confident that Target meets the CQC’s fundamental standards of;

  • Person-centred care – treatment is tailored to you and meets your needs and preferences
  • Dignity and respect – we will make sure our patients receive privacy and treated as equals
  • Consent – we will always ensure you are able to make fully informed decisions about your care
  • Safety – you safety is our priority, we ensure you receive the best care by keeping our qualifications, skills and competence up to date with the latest standards
  • Premises and equipment – our treatment room and equipment is of the highest quality and well maintained
  • Duty of Candor – we will always remain open and transparent about your care
  • Good governance – we have systems in place to check the quality and safety of our service

Target will be monitored in line with CQC standards which are in place to ensure those we support receive safe, caring, effective, responsive and well lead services.

Our CEO Steve Crane said of the news; “This is great news for everyone associated with Target, as it allows us to provide services which we believe will increase positive personalised outcomes for people. It demonstrates our commitment to providing the most holistic, quality services we can!”

This accreditation is extremely important to us and we are excited to be placed on the CQC register!
