Supported Housing Assistant – Hull

A vacancy for a Supported Housing Assistant has arisen at Target Housing, based at our Hull office. The role is to help vulnerable residents maintain their tenancies. This includes helping them move into their accommodation, advising on budgeting, gain access to support services and ensuring they comply with their tenancy agreements. The post-holder will also be expected to carry out regular risk assessments and maintain computerised records, for which full training will be given.

We welcome applications from people with experience in a care or supported housing setting and are equally keen to hear from applicants dedicated to working with vulnerable people and looking to start a career in this area.

This is a full time (39hr/week), permanent and based at our offices in Charles Street, HU2 8EJ.

Offers of employment will be subject to references, a full DBS check and a six month probationary period. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

We offer a salary of £15,500 (pro rata) progressing to £17,000 (pro rata) on satisfactory completion of a probationary period assessment. Other benefits include membership of the Westfield healthcare scheme, 23 days annual leave (pro rata) plus statutory bank holidays and a casual car user’s allowance.  Offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal records check and references.

Trustee (Volunteer)

Are you a problem solver with an ability to think creatively?  If you are looking for a new challenge and are committed to helping vulnerable people move on in their lives, we’d like to hear from you.

Target Housing is an independent charity providing housing and support to people battling with debt, mental health problems, drugs and alcohol dependency. Many are asylum seekers or have an offending background.

We are looking to refresh our board with experienced, enthusiastic team players looking to share their talents and gain experience at Board level working alongside a diverse range of professionals in a supportive, fast changing environment. We welcome applicants from all sections of the community.

Our trustees attend around 8 meetings a year 4pm till 6pm, in Rotherham, Sheffield City-Centre and occasional half day planning meetings. Travel and parking costs are reimbursed.
