Property Services Keyworker – Derby/Nottingham

Temporary Position

Salary: £17,395 pro rata – per annum

Target Housing provide accommodation and support services to Asylum Seekers in Derby and Nottingham under Government contract.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is committed to providing quality services to those accommodated under the scheme with a positive “can do” attitude.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate experience in delivering services to vulnerable people; have a basic knowledge of housing and have an understanding of the issues asylum seekers are faced with; be willing to be very flexible on working hours and have a strong commitment to providing quality services.

Basic duties will involve  – property inspections; assisting clients move into and out of our properties; ensuring clients are fully briefed on correct use of all appliances and heating systems; occasional cleaning and setting up of properties prior to arrival – N.B. this will include some manual handling. Occasional maintenance duties such as internal painting.

A full UK Drivers Licence and car is essential.  This is a full time post based on 39 hours per week and is temporary covering Maternity Leave for 8 Months.

This is a very flexible role, with flexible working hours in order to meet the needs of the business and newly arriving clients.  Offer of employment is subject to satisfactory CRB and references.

Target Housing Trustee

Are you a problem solver with an ability to think creatively?  If you are looking for a new challenge and are committed to helping vulnerable people move on in their lives, we’d like to hear from you.

Target Housing is an independent charity providing housing and support to people battling with debt, mental health problems, drugs and alcohol dependency. Many are asylum seekers or have an offending background.

We are looking to refresh our board with experienced, enthusiastic team players looking to share their talents and gain experience at Board level working alongside a diverse range of professionals in a supportive, fast changing environment. We welcome applicants from all sections of the community.

Our trustees attend around 8 meetings a year 4pm till 6pm, in Rotherham, Sheffield City-Centre and occasional half day planning meetings. Travel and parking costs are reimbursed.
