  • Training and Wellbeing Coordinator

Location:             Bradmarsh Business Park, Rotherham

Hours:                  Full time, 39hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:                  £24,269, rising to £25,372 after 1 year following on from a successful 9 months’ probation period and rising to £26,475 after a further year of service

Overview – Target Housing is a Registered Social Landlord, providing supported accommodation across South Yorkshire and Humberside. We support around 1500 people at any given time to increase their independence, maintain their accommodation and achieve their potential.

Job role – Target is committed to staff wellbeing and development and we are looking for a Training and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our Central Team. You will be responsible for delivering the Corporate Training Plan and also developing and implementing our Wellbeing Strategy. You will source and deliver training to meet the needs of our frontline staff, developing new packages as necessary. You will maintain training records, monitor update and liaise with the management team regarding training requirements.

Person specification – We are looking for candidates with experience in training delivery, an adult education qualification would be highly advantageous. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in IT systems and data management. You will be organised and personable and able to work with a wide range of people, from front line staff to senior managers. A keen interest in employee wellbeing plus prior experience of leading on wellbeing initiatives is also highly desirable.

Travel to outlying offices in Hull, Sheffield and Doncaster will be required periodically.

  • Domestic Operative

Job role – The main responsibility of the role is to carry out the cleaning and maintaining of Target Housing properties and offices. The ideal candidate will have experience cleaning premises and will be responsible for general facility cleaning. This will include platform areas, stairs, public common areas such as kitchens or seating areas, toilet cleaning and litter picking. You will be responsible for following assigned cleaning tasks and adhering to a cleaning schedule.

Person specification – We are looking for candidates with experience in cleaning. You will need to be able to work well within a team and have a lot of flexibility and willingness to meet the demands of the role.

Hours:                  Full time, 39hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:                  £18,926, progressing to £19,926 after 1 year following on from a successful 9 months’ probation period. A further increase after another year of service to £21,041.

Job role – The main responsibility of the post holder will be to provide high quality housing management and support services to clients in order to assist them in sustaining their tenancies. The role will include networking and multi-agency work. Day to day the work will include helping clients move in to and manage their accommodation, connecting them with local services and inspecting properties.

Person specification – The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with vulnerable and marginalised groups in a community-based project and knowledge of the benefits and welfare system. The postholder will be expected to travel locally on a regular basis. Therefore, a full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required.

Job role – We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to work alongside our service manager. The post will be based in Sheffield and will be part of our complex needs service. The successful candidate will have experience in working with clients with multi complex needs and have considerable knowledge around mental health and psychological interventions.

Person specification:

  • At least 12 months experience in team leading and 5 Years’ experience of supporting people with multiple complex needs including hard to reach clients who struggle to engage
  • Experience of using Case Formulations
  • Ability to encourage staff to participate in reflective practice

Job role – To provide high quality housing related services to asylum seekers accommodated by the Home Office. We are looking for someone with an understanding of the issue’s asylum seekers face and experience of working with vulnerable people. Day to day the work will include helping people to move in to and manage their accommodation, connecting them with local services and inspecting properties.

Required Experience

Experience of providing support to vulnerable people in a housing environment.

A good understanding of the challenges ethnic minorities may face

Knowledge of Health and Safety in accommodation

An understanding of immigration regulations and the asylum-seeking process

You will be organised and personable and able to work with a wide range of people

Full UK driving licence and access to a road worthy vehicle

Job role – The post holder will be based in our Doncaster Project and will be working within an accommodation-based project with support services for vulnerable adults, particularly those individuals of an offending background and complex needs. The Housing Support Worker will provide high quality housing management and support services to clients in order to assist them in sustaining their tenancies, achieving their potential and working towards a crime free lifestyle and independent living.

Required Experience

Experience of providing support to vulnerable people in a housing environment.

In-depth and up to date knowledge of Welfare Benefits System

An understanding of the Judiciary System in the UK

Experience in risk assessment and support planning

You will be organised and personable and able to work with a wide range of people

Full UK driving licence and access to a road worthy vehicle
