Floating Support

The floating support service will help young people to move on from supported housing, to support them in permanent tenancies and to help young people who are at risk of homelessness through losing their tenancy. Target will provide housing related support to individual’s and we are committed to providing a safe, sensitive, non-judgemental and non-oppressive service. Individuals are supported in their own tenancy with the aim to improve the quality of life of the individual, supporting them to become more confident and independent in their lives.

Eligibility Criteria

The service will support young people aged 16- 25 with multiple needs and in some instances, people with chaotic lifestyles who may not be supported by more traditional statutory services

Referral Process

Referrals for this project can be made from a variety of different sources including;

  • the RMBC Move-on panel
  • Housing Income Team
  • Key Choices Homeless Registration Team
  • Other Supported Housing
  • self-referrals
  • youth offender service
  • Health services
  • Children and Young Peoples Service

Target is committed to a multi-agency approach and has developed excellent working relationships with other organisations that may offer appropriate, specific, specialist services which assist in meeting service user needs.
