Young Persons Tenancy Support Project


Young Persons Project Tenancy Support is a free and confidential service for young people in Rotherham who are aged 16 – 25 years old and have their own tenancy. The project can assist young people to manage their own homes and help with setting up and maintaining bills, as well as supporting with budgeting, sorting out debts and accessing other services for more specific / in-depth help or advice. The workers will go out to meet residents in their own homes regularly to identify what assistance is needed and whether this will be short or long term.

Eligibility Criteria

The service will support young people aged 16- 25 with multiple needs and in some instances, people with chaotic lifestyles who may not be supported by more traditional statutory services

Referral Process

Referrals for this project can be made from a variety of different sources including;

  • the RMBC Move-on panel
  • Housing Income Team
  • Key Choices Homeless Registration Team
  • Other Supported Housing
  • self-referrals
  • youth offender service
  • Health services
  • Children and Young Peoples Service
