Victoria Avenue Project
Victoria Avenue opened in September 2019, after lots of hard work and discussions about how there was a lack of accommodation in the area for people with learning disabilities.
Lots of people with a learning disability have lived at home with families for many years and haven’t had a chance to have their own property or their own tenancy due to a lack of support or suitable living accommodation.
After finding and adapting the accommodation Victoria Avenue was ready to accept new tenants. The accommodation provides 2 bedrooms with an en-suite and 1 Bedroom with an en-suite and personal kitchenette with shared communal lounge and shared kitchen. There is also a self-contained 1 bedroomed flat.
Staff and tenants are really happy with the service and the tenants are enjoying having the opportunity to have a tenancy and develop their living skills.
