Queen Street Project
The Queen Street Project provides short term accommodation for those at risk of rough sleeping in the Rotherham area. We have 7 bedrooms in a house with communal areas. The project is jointly managed by RMBC and Target housing with staff from both services on site during the week
Residents are assisted to move on to more secure accommodation, assisted with life skills and also given intensive wrap around support tailored to their needs. Residents are encouraged to tell us their interests and we try to arrange activities where possible. So far residents have become involved in decorating the building, including designing a mural for the garden wall. They have volunteered to dog walk for a local charity, been bowling and to a local gym.
The project is staffed 24 hours a day with security cover at night.
To be eligible for this project, you must be male, over the age of 18 and at risk of rough sleeping.
Referrals are made by RMBC’s Homeless service following assessment.
Please note, we cannot accept direct referrals for accommodation.
