Thrive

THRIVE – Complex Needs

THRIVE provides a unique package of permanent accommodation and life-long support for vulnerable people, who have experienced lives characterised by adverse experiences, trauma and chaos. THRIVE clients have experienced drug and alcohol problems, mental health problems and chronic health conditions, against a background of homelessness, insecure accommodation, difficulties with tenancy sustainment, involvement in the criminal justice system and exclusion elsewhere. Clients become ‘members’ of THRIVE for life and in the case of chronic and terminal conditions people will be supported to access palliative care and end-of-life care.

Offender and complex needs

The Sheffield Project is located in central Sheffield. We provide accommodation and support for vulnerable and homeless individuals, most specifically support for current offenders, ex-offenders, those at risk of offending and those with complex needs.

The Sheffield project provides support in properties managed by ourselves for those individuals who have found it difficult sustaining a tenancy. Our aim is to support the individual towards independent living and an eventual crime-free lifestyle addressing issues such as benefits and tenancy support, budgeting, managing bills, debt advice/management as well as signposting to other specific charities & organisations across the region.

Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Services

About Target’s MH & LD Project

By combining the skills, experience and resources from both organisations Target’s Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Project aims to deliver high quality, person centred support and accommodation to support growth towards independence. We work in line with our ethos of ‘giving a chance’ to those individuals who may have had difficulty maintaining a tenancy or engaging in support elsewhere.

“I have chosen to do a volunteering placement at TASC to help me on my future career path. I am aiming to go into the probation service sector, and working alongside the clients at TASC is giving me opportunity to connect with vulnerable people and also give me the chance to gain experience which will benefit me when applying for my desired job role.
