Rotherham First Steps Hostel

Accommodation:

The First Steps Hostel situated on Queen Street provides short-term temporary accommodation for rough sleepers or those at risk of rough sleeping in the Rotherham area.  We accommodate up to 7 residents at a time with each resident having their own bedroom and use of communal areas.  First Steps Hostel is a joint project between Target Housing and RMBC offering 24 hour support with staff from both services on site during the week and security staff overnight.  We provide intensive wrap-around support tailored to meet individual need.  Residents are welcomed into a warm and friendly environment, provided with emotional support and help to develop life skills while being assisted to move on to secure, longer term accommodation.

AASC

We pride ourselves on providing holistic and person centred support throughout the asylum and refugee journey. Our ‘wraparound’ services include advice, signposting and advocacy on issues such as housing, education, training, employment, budgeting and health. Working with partners we offer accredited ESOL, therapeutic support and short-term workshops eg creative writing groups. Service users are also invited to join our volunteering initiatives, including an allotment project. We are open to developing new services and are happy to engage in conversations about potential partnerships in which our expertise can help deliver services to those in vulnerable situations.

Housing First

Target Housing works in partnership with South Yorkshire Housing Association to offer accommodation and support to individuals with multiple and complex support needs. It provides a stable, independent home and offers intensive personalised support to individuals with a history of entrenched and repeat homelessness.

Accommodation

Target Housing Rotherham is a supported accommodation project, primarily for current offenders, ex-offenders or those at risk of offending. The project offers fully furnished, mainly shared, and some single unit accommodation across the Rotherham Borough for up to two years.

The support worker will work with the service user on a client led support plan and risk assessment identifying areas that are preventing them from sustaining independent living.
