Frontline Network Event 17/06/2019
On Monday 17th June 2019 we hosted our 11th Networking Event. This event focused on ‘Working on Well being’ concentrating on the well being of those working on the frontline. It was a chance for frontline workers to reflect on their well being and learn tools and techniques to help with and aim to improve their wellbeing. The event was held at Aizelwoods Mill in Sheffield city centre where representatives from a range of organisations across South Yorkshire and the Humber attended the event to network, hear presenters and participate in workshops.
Target and St Martins partnership officer Sirea Jabar opened the event discussing Target and the Frontline Network. Sirea discussed how the Frontline Network exists to harness the ideas, energy and experience of those at the frontline working with homeless and vulnerably housed people. The first presentation of the day was given by Stephen Smith from Chi Living who talked the group through mindfulness approaches. The next speaker of the day was Hannah Butler from SensUS who took the group through coaching techniques. Lastly was Acen Lowoko and Rihannon Baker from Rotherham IAPT. After presentations were over the group broke into two workshops, mindfulness and stress management. The event was then finished with a light lunch and networking.
