Target senior staff and the Board of Trustees would like to formally thank and acknowledge the tremendous efforts of our frontline staff and managers. They have worked tirelessly to find ingenious solutions to helping people with serious practical and mental health issues in very challenging circumstances. Hearing the many stories from managers and key-workers over the last two months really brings home that we have a workforce of truly amazing people.
This briefing will cover the steps we have taken to ensure we continue to support our customers whilst taking every step to protect our employees, customers and comply with our social responsibility to reduce and slow down the virus COVID-19.
A message to our clients and customers regarding COVID-19. Our priority at Target Housing is the health and safety of our colleagues, clients, partners and all customers. Target is actively and continuously monitoring the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak, in line with local and national authorities, public health advice and WHO guidelines. Our policies reflect the guidelines set out by the UK Government.
Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC), the award-winning UK fund manager and social enterprise, has invested £3m from its Social and Sustainable Housing (SASH) fund into Target Housing
Sheffield has been awarded £67,336 of the Government’s £16.6m national fund. The funding pot has been made available to local authorities to bid for specialist help and housing provision for those affected by domestic abuse. The accommodation will include safety features and will be provided and managed by Target Housing. Residents will have access to the help they need from Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) who currently provide specialist domestic abuse services in Sheffield.
On Friday 27th September Target won 3rd place for the National Housing Association/ Landlord of the year!
On the 18th October at the Theatre Deli in Sheffield, a partnership of Sheffield commissioned services including Target and others organised a Showcase event called ‘A Place to Call Home’.
On the 24th June Target was shortlisted for a landlord/ housing association of the year award at the Energy Efficiency Awards 2019. Target staff attended the awards ceremony on the 5th July at the Hilton hotel in Sheffield. Target was AWARDED the prize of landlord/ housing association of the year 2019!
Binghams Potted Meats and Spreads held a competition to give out a lunch time treat to any person or organisation who is striving to help others in their community and Target was nominated and announced the winners, receiving a lunch time treat.
