Target Housing have been delivering music therapy, supported by Mama Africa Rotherham. The project began at the beginning of March for our service users in Rotherham. Individuals are given the opportunity to play drums, guitar and other instruments as a form of relaxation, as well as teaching them a new skill and giving them something productive to do with their time. This therapy can help with mental ill health, reducing isolation and combating boredom.

Target Housing have been supporting Mama Africa Rotherham (funded by the Rotherham Borough Council devolved budget) to deliver a project for young people in Rotherham for the past 3 months. Young people have been attending to learn new skills and meet new people by taking part in activities such as cooking, dancing, music and games. The project also listened to the needs of the young people and catered to what they wanted to do.
